Private Equity Recruitment Ltd was established in 1998 by Gail McManus to focus on the specialist recruitment needs in the sector. It places over 120 investment professionals a year from Analyst to Partner across the UK, Europe, the Middle East, Latin America and Asia. The consultant team at Private Equity Recruitment has a deep understanding of venture capital and private equity and is comprised primarily of former investors and finance professionals who understand their clients’ needs.

About Gail McManus

Gail McManus is the managing director of Private Equity Recruitment and former senior venture capital investor. Gail has an MBA from London Business School and has been involved in private equity for more than 20 years. She started her career with 3i in a regional office investing in some of the UK’s earliest management buy–outs. She later became 3i’s UK business development manager. Gail then moved into recruitment and started PER and has been recruiting for private equity funds for the past 11 years.

Gail regularly speaks at international private equity and venture capital forums and conferences, and can give insight into the following topics:

• An overview of the current PE/VC job markets and recruitment trends.

• Markets in growth by region or by industry specialization (IT, Energy, healthcare, etc).

• Profiles/ skills in high demand and how to find the best talent.

• Competency based interviewing and skill testing for private equity.
